Versorium 2023 will take place on 18 August at the Hilton Brighton Metropole. The symposium is a unique, multidisciplinary scientific conference and exhibition, which will bring together experts in spinal conditions and treatment from across all care disciplines and around the world, to expand knowledge, collaboration and promote networking.
The focus of the conference is a better understanding of and a concise, evidence-based overview of varying management approaches to common spinal conditions. BCA President, Catherine Quinn, will take part in a panel discussion titled, How I treat low back pain, alongside physiotherapy, osteopathy, pilates/yoga and pain management speakers, as well as a neurosurgeon.
The day will also include a breakout session on intraoperative surgical management, spine implants and postoperative care. The conference will close with a networking reception.
Speaking about the symposium, Catherine said, “Taking part in a multidisciplinary event like this fits perfectly with the BCA’s vision for chiropractic to be integral to UK healthcare, by ensuring that professions are learning with and from each other. By interacting in this way, we will better understand how patients are experiencing the healthcare system and gain a greater knowledge base in how other professions may manage a case, as well as highlight the patient-centred, credible and evidence-informed way in which a chiropractor would assess and manage a patient. I am really looking forward to advocating for our profession while learning from others.”
