The BCA are delighted to have been shortlisted for two Memcom Awards:
- Best Member Support during COVID-19 (Small Organisation): BCA Team
- CEO Leadership Award: Tom Mullarkey, MBE
Both of these awards are in recognition of the outstanding support and direction the team demonstrated over the last 12 months.
Members will know that the BCA staff team, alongside the BCA’s Board, took a diligent approach that has seen member insurance premiums reduced for 2021 when all other similar professions had theirs increased.
By moving the BCA to a ‘lean-running mode’ in 2020, the BCA was able to continue providing essential services, but also pass significant cost savings on to members. The #BCAfamily has told us that this reduction in outgoings at the most critical time of the pandemic, was crucial when incomes had been seriously reduced.
We are delighted to be recognised in two categories and would like to give a special mention to our CEO, Tom, who is nominated for Memcom’s most prestigious award.
BCA President, Catherine Quinn said: “On behalf of the Board, I want to convey my absolute delight at the two nominations the British Chiropractic Association have received in light of the work committed to over the past year.
To see Tom shortlisted for the CEO Leadership Award comes as no surprise to those of us who work with him week in and week out. His commitment to supporting members is second to none and we can all see the transformation that he has brought to the BCA since his appointment.
My sincere congratulations to the Staff team and the BCA Board for the well-deserved recognition of their immense effort resulting in the nomination for Best Member Support during COVID-19. BCA Members are so well served and should feel proud of the work done to support them!”
Memcom is an organisation that connects senior leaders from membership bodies, trade associations and the not-for-profit sector. Award winners are announced on 30th September 2021 and you can see the full shortlist on the Memcom website.
