The BCA at The RCC Winter Conference
Yesterday, BCA President Tim Button, CEO Cait Allen, Board Members Philippa Oakley and Faye Deane, along with other BCA members, attended the Royal College of Chiropractors Winter Conference, a key event in the chiropractic calendar.
Chiropractors from all experience levels gathered alongside universities, the GCC, and the RCC to engage in education, CPD, and discussions on the future of the profession. This year’s event also marked an important moment—the retirement of Rob Finch, CEO of the RCC, after over two decades of dedicated service. His contributions to the profession have been significant, and we wish him all the best in the future.
The RCC AGM is always a valuable event to attend, and this year was no different. Presentations from Drs Katie Pohlman and Sidney Rubinstein helped encourage reflection on patient safety and challenged our understanding of cervical SMT. Other important topics addressed throughout the day included an overview of two new important documents for chiropractors- The GCC Code of Professional Practice and the new Low Back Pain and Sciatica Quality Standard. As well as providing a wonderful opportunity to catch up with colleagues, this event helped ensure that BCA members stay up to date with the very latest research and developments within the chiropractic profession to ensure we continue to prioritise patient choices, care and safety.
