The BCA is looking for a Director of Communications and Marketing

The BCA have an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic and driven Director of Communications and Marketing as we develop the strategy of the Association. We have identified a need to evolve the ways in which we communicate with both our members and stakeholders and are looking to explore ways of integrating and aligning our communications and corporate strategies over the coming years.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for communications and engagement, influencing at the highest level both within the Association and across wider chiropractic organisations. Your creativity, strategic experience and exceptional stakeholder management skills will be vital to promoting our reputation and adding value to our Association and the chiropractic profession.
About the BCA
The British Chiropractic Association is the national membership body for chiropractors in the UK. Established over 90 years ago, it has led the way in all major developments in the profession in the UK and Europe including the Chiropractors Act and establishment of the Royal College of Chiropractors and European Chiropractors Union. As the largest professional Association for chiropractors in the UK and Europe, we are called on to represent the profession and the views of chiropractors. Most importantly, we have a duty to support and serve the BCA members. We consider communication a fundamental aspect of this and recognise the need to strengthen both our internal and public communications to order to achieve high levels of member satisfaction.
About the Role
As the Director of Communications and Marketing, you will be a progressive thinker, responsible for managing all aspects of the BCA communication and marketing strategies. You will undertake the development and delivery of messages through our full range of communications channels.
Supported by marketing and PR consultants (who will report directly into this role) plus internal staff, you will take responsibility for stakeholder management and public affairs activities, building on our existing networks and managing key stakeholder relationships.
This is a flexible full-time role. It is a fixed term contract for five years when renewal is an option.
You must have exceptional strategic, communications and interpersonal skills. You will have significant experience in delivering a communications and marketing strategy within an organisation. Previous experience of the chiropractic profession is desirable.

You’ll need proven experience in driving successful campaigns and of delivering public affairs strategies and building and managing stakeholder relations. Someone with strong networking and relationship building skills, it goes without saying that you are a confident communicator who can think quickly and is highly organised.
