On Tuesday 17 June 2025, BCA members gathered for an unforgettable evening of creativity, connection, and celebration in the heart of Bristol. Hosted at the fantastic Wake The Tiger, one of the UK’s most immersive and imaginative spaces, this first regional event of our BCA 100 celebrations was anything but ordinary.
From thought-provoking talks and heartfelt member reflections to surreal art experiences and warm conversations shared over dinner, this evening marked more than just a celebration, it honoured our legacy, our progress, and the bright future ahead for chiropractic in the UK.
This is just the first of a series of regional events which BCA members can attend for free. You can book your space here.
Reflecting on the Past, Present and Future
BCA President, Tim Button opened the evening with a speech that explored the remarkable journey of the BCA, from our founding in 1925, through pivotal moments like the passing of the Chiropractors Act in 1994, to the present-day achievements that continue to shape our profession.
Tim shared the latest updates on our ambitious strategic work, including the landmark Health Economics Report launched in March, which shows that chiropractic could deliver a £400m boost to the UK economy annually. He also spoke about our continued political engagement (including MP meetings, party conferences, a Westminster roundtable, and our open letter to the Health Secretary), all underscoring the BCA’s commitment to securing recognition for chiropractic as a vital part of MSK care.
The digital transformation of the BCA was another key focus: from our new website and growing social media presence to a new CRM platform, we’re building the tools and visibility to strengthen support for our members and raise awareness of the profession among the public.
Spotlight on a Lifetime of Service
Following Tim’s update, members were privileged to hear from Richard Brown, Secretary-General of the World Federation of Chiropractic. A BCA member since 1990, and Past President Richard’s speech reflected on the Association’s journey while sharing his optimism for its future.
Richard's decades of service to the BCA and the wider profession have shaped chiropractic on a national and global scale. We were proud to recognise Richard with a special award in appreciation of his lasting contribution.

An Immersive Celebration

Located in the heart of Bristol, Wake The Tiger is the UK’s largest immersive art experience and the world’s first amazement® park. It was the perfect place to mark a century of progress and spark inspiration for the century ahead.
A Shared Moment, A Shared Mission
"I’ve been reflecting on a really special evening and just want to say a huge thank you to all the speakers and staff. It was a powerful milestone — and a genuine reminder of how the BCA continues to champion chiropractic for all of us watching from the sidelines. I feel privileged, but more than that, I feel part of something truly special."
