Coventry University has announced the launch of its MSci Chiropractic programme, opening for applications now via UCAS and welcoming its first cohort in September 2026.
This innovative, contemporary, and evidence-based programme has been designed to develop graduates who are confident and competent in a broad range of chiropractic techniques and approaches. The course aims to equip future chiropractors to advance the profession within the wider healthcare environment by delivering best-practice, effective, and person-centred chiropractic care.
About the programme
Key features of the programme include a block carousel structure with three entry points each year, and a clinical placement model spanning workplace, virtual, simulated, and on-site settings across all years of study. Students will have access to award-winning health professions learning spaces, including simulation suites, technique classrooms, an onsite clinic, and a strength and conditioning suite.
Prospective students are invited to attend open days on 25 April and 29 June 2026, where chiropractic discovery sessions will be running. Places can be booked via the Coventry University website (select allied health professions courses).
Opportunities for BCA members
The programme brings several opportunities for BCA members to contribute to chiropractic education from 2026 onwards, including:
- Clinical placement educators (any location) to host virtual placements, live-streamed to Coventry's Powerwall teaching space
- Clinical placement educators (Midlands area) to host students for in-person placements
- Chiropractic partner engagement panel members, providing professional insight to support the ongoing development of the course
Members interested in any of these roles are encouraged to contact Curriculum Lead Gay Swait at ae5911@coventry.ac.uk.
Building a community of practice in the Midlands
The university also aims to establish a community of practice within the Midlands chiropractic profession, with local chiropractors having access to on-site facilities and technology to support continued professional development.
Coventry University's inaugural cohort is expected to begin in September 2026.
