Celebrating Excellence at the 2025 BCA Excellence Awards

The BCA Excellence Awards at Chiro Live 2025 honoured UK chiropractors and clinics for clinical excellence, innovation, and contributions to musculoskeletal health.

Chiro Live 2025 drew to a close on Saturday evening with the BCA Excellence Awards, which shone a spotlight on the dedication and clinical expertise shaping UK chiropractic care and highlighted the professionals whose work raises standards within the profession.

This year’s ceremony emphasised both achievement and the profession’s wider impact. Categories ranged from outstanding clinical practice and community service, to recognising the achievements of early-career chiropractors, underlining the ongoing commitment of chiropractors to improving musculoskeletal health across the country.

Congratulations to this year’s winners:

This year’s winners included Professor Richard Brown as Chiropractor of the Year, Marc Sanders as Chiropractors’ Chiropractor, Ellie Jones as New Chiropractor of the Year, and Proactive Chiropractic and Sports Injury Clinic as Clinic of the Year. Each award highlighted professionals and clinics driving high standards, advancing patient-focused care, and supporting the growth of UK chiropractic.

I am truly honoured to receive the 2025 British Chiropractic Association Chiropractor of the Year Award. Having served as BCA President and in various leadership roles over the past two decades, I’ve always believed that our profession is at its best when it is evidence-based, people-centred, and committed to interprofessional collaboration. This recognition reflects the collective efforts of so many colleagues who share these values. I am grateful for their support and for the patients whose trust inspires us to keep improving every day. Seeing how the BCA continues to make major strides in representing the UK profession nationally and internationally makes me especially proud to have been selected for this very special award”.

It was a great honour to receive the BCA Chiropractor’s Chiropractor Award at such a prestigious event that commemorated 100 years of the BCA. I want to say a big thank you to all those who support me to enable me to do the work I can for our profession, and to those who spent the time to nominate me for the award and voted for me.

The BCA 100 conference was fantastic; it was a true day of celebration of the profession’s achievements and the persistent efforts over the years by teams of collaborative chiropractors behind them. I’m excited to see what we can achieve by working together and with others in the next 100 years.”

Receiving the New Chiropractor of the Year award is an incredible honour. I absolutely love what I do and being part of a community of dedicated and inspiring professionals. My team has been instrumental in every step of my journey so far, so to them - a big thank you! To be awarded for doing something I care about so deeply, so soon after graduating, makes this recognition a truly special achievement”.

Winning Clinic of the Year means more to us than we can put into words. We’re only 2½ years old, starting out in a tiny room in a gym. To be here now, with two clinics and an incredible team built over the last year, feels surreal. We’re genuinely overwhelmed and so grateful for our hard work to be recognised”

– Kathryn Deverson, Clinic Owner & Principal Chiropractor

The BCA Excellence Awards do more than honour individuals and clinics. By celebrating achievements and setting benchmarks for excellence, they reinforce public confidence, support interprofessional collaboration, and inspire the next generation of practitioners to uphold and advance the reputation of chiropractic care.
