Meet your facilitators
A passionate advocate for chiropractic and, alongside his Presidential duties, Tim runs his clinic, Cleve Chiropractic in Bristol and has served as the official chiropractor for Bristol Rovers and Bath Rugby. He’s also worked at major events like the London 2012 Olympics and the Commonwealth Games.
Anna is the founder of Spinavita Chiropractic in Gloucester where she has cultivated a place of excellence, building a team of dedicated clinicians and assistants. Since graduating from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2007, Anna’s passion for helping people continues to deepen with each year of clinical practice. She regularly attends seminars and conferences, expanding her skills and staying current with the latest advancements. This commitment allows her to provide a personalised, integrative, evidence based approach tailored to each patient.
Rob is an award-winning chiropractor with over 12 years of experience. As the co-owner of the clinic, Rob leads the team of 22 healthcare professionals, offering integrated care that combines chiropractic, physiotherapy, osteopathy, diagnostic imaging, and podiatry. Beyond his clinical work, Rob is an educator, serving as a Clinical Tutor at the Health Sciences University in Bournemouth. He also cohosts the award-winning Back Pain Podcast, which has over half a million downloads, and enjoyes speaking at conferences and public events on topics related to musculoskeletal healthcare.
Kathryn graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, University of South Wales in 2019. She set up her clinic, Proactive Chiropractic, located in Cardiff in 2023. Alongside this, she is Head of Medical for Pontypridd and completing her International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic (ICSC) with FICS. Kathryn has a particular interest in the role social media plays in the public awareness of chiropractic, as well as their access to chiropractic and rehab ideas.
Philippa (she/her) graduated from WIOC in 2012 and has over a decade of private practice experience. She runs a clinic in Wiltshire and co-directs Oakley Partnership, focusing on LGBTQ+ inclusive healthcare. Philippa received the BCA’s “Chiropractor of the Year” award for 2022-2023.
John has been practising since 2005, graduating from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic. He and his wife run a multidisciplinary clinic in Bicester. John specialises in sport and rehabilitation, working with top athletes, and serves as Treasurer for the BCA. He also lectures internationally.
Chris is a second-generation chiropractor and graduate of the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic. He runs two clinics with a team of eight DC’s and six massage therapists just outside of London. He founded Patient Centred Training in 2017 to provide quality post-graduate education for chiropractors and other healthcare practitioners. Chris has lectured both nationally and internationally on patient-centred communication and is a guest lecturer at multiple UK Universities. He is a fellow and lead tutor with the RCC, and helped develop the College’s PRT communication skills training and their Communication Skills Quality Standard.
Faye is a chiropractor, educator, and public health researcher with a special interest in musculoskeletal health policy, prevention, and complexity-informed clinical practice. Vice President of the British Chiropractic Association and active contributor to international chiropractic initiatives, their work focuses on integrating public health principles into everyday chiropractic care.
Dr Alister du Rose graduated from the Health Sciences University (AECC School of Chiropractic) in 2009. After several years in clinical practice, he returned to the university in 2012 to undertake his PhD in spinal biomechanics, which he successfully completed in 2016. Upon completing his studies, Alister worked as a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for the Master of Chiropractic course at the University of South Wales, before returning to his roots at Health Sciences University in January 2020.
Laura is a chiropractor and clinic owner who has spent the past decade building a modern, multidisciplinary practice from the ground up. After graduating from AECC in 2012, she cofounded her own clinic in 2014. Since then, it has grown into a team of 28 clinicians spanning a wide range of MSK disciplines. Although still hands-on in practice, Laura now focuses much of her energy on communication, branding and creating a patient experience that stands out. She is particularly passionate about growing clinics ethically, building sustainable businesses that prioritise patient outcomes, team culture and trust within the community.
Joshua is a seasoned entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in the healthcare sector. Founder of Verilo which is not your average business brokerage. Joshua’s journey began with a simple yet powerful motive: to help people. Passionate about making a bigger impact, he opened his first private healthcare clinic at age 22. Under his leadership, this modest venture scaled quickly to become one of the largest private physiotherapy clinic groups in the UK, with 36 locations spanning from London to Manchester. Eventually, Joshua made the strategic decision to exit his healthcare business, selling it to a private equity firm. While many would consider this the pinnacle of their career, Joshua saw it as a turning point. He recognised the challenges faced by clinic owners trying to grow their business and secure a successful exit and the lack of support available. That’s when Verilo was born.
Dr. Maria Katsarou-Makin CPsychol, AFBPsS, HCPC, MCC, ACTC, FIoL, F(LPI) is the founder of the Leadership Psychology Institute with more than 25 years of experience in partnering with senior teams. She is a Chartered Psychologist and an Accredited Psychotherapist and a Professional in the field of Organisational Development combining consulting and actual business experience. Her areas of specialisation include Leadership Psychology, Group Dynamics and Executive Coaching. Her research gave her the opportunity to specialise further into leadership teams and to break new grounds in measuring trust.
Wendy is a qualified Empowerment Coach, Fire Walk Instructor, Iron Woman, open water swimmer, Enneagram Practitioner, international speaker and at her core, a proud Yorkshire powerhouse. With over 20 years of senior experience in private healthcare, she brings a rare combination of commercial awareness, grounded compassion, and deep transformational work.
