Coronavirus Information for students

Considering chiropractic study

For students across all degree courses, this is an uncertain time. The BCA has been working with the chiropractic education providers during COVID-19 to understand their plans for the future and are delighted that all of the institutions are looking at innovative ways to continue teaching what is a very ‘hands-on’ education.

If you are considering applying to one of U’s chiropractic degree courses, we suggest that you contact the university directly to understand the provision they are making for courses starting in 2020. You can see all of the universities that offer chiropractic courses on our ‘Become a chiropractor‘ page. Below, we have updates from the two newest degree courses at Teesside University and the University of Central Lancashire.

Teesside University

Chiropractic at Teesside University sits within The School of Health and Life Sciences, which has reacted really well to the recent issues caused by the pandemic.  We are now planning a hybrid approach to teaching and learning from September 2020 which will not detriment students and in some ways will enhance their learning experience.  As a professional, it is important to be able to adapt to change and I think the chiropractic community and chiropractic educators are doing that very well in light of this health crisis.  At Teesside, we are committed to delivering an outstanding education in a safe and effective manner and will be doing so from September 2020.  If you have any questions or concerns though, I would welcome you to get in touch.  Daniel Moore (

University of Central Lancashire

The University of Central Lancashire has undertaken development of a new chiropractic course in their School of Sport and Health Sciences. The first intake is scheduled for September 2021. Accreditation from the General Chiropractic Council is pending. If you would like more information or to receive email updates, please contact Dr Kenneth Young at
