BCA Excellence Awards 2023

Following the huge success of last year’s conference, this year we are back in person for Chiro Live, the 2023 BCA Conference and Excellence Awards. This year’s Awards evening will take place at The Vox, Birmingham on Saturday 18 November.

The BCA hopes that all individuals nominated and shortlisted for this year’s awards will attend the BCA Excellence Awards Evening. You can look forward to a stunning gala dinner, a motivational awards presentation, and some live music, too! The awards evening will be a time to recognise the achievements within the BCA community, share new ideas and leave you inspired for next year’s goals.

There are three Excellence Awards that BCA members can nominate for, and these include Clinic of the Year, Chiropractors’ Chiropractor and New Chiropractor of the Year.

Please read each award category for more information and refer to the award criteria below when submitting a nomination.

Award Categories

Clinic of the year

The BCA Clinic of the Year Excellence Award recognises a clinic that has made an impact in their local community this year and promoted the Vision and Mission of the BCA. This could be visible via community outreach, a social media campaign, a project, or an event, for example. We are looking for clinics that work with other health professions in their local communities, display excellence in the promotion of chiropractic and have patients at the heart of all they do.

The individual nominating their clinic team on behalf of their practice must be a member of The British Chiropractic Association. Members may nominate their own practices and teams for this award. Please outline the initiatives and work the clinic has committed to for the last 12 months and give evidence/examples of how these have helped the clinic or in promoting chiropractic.

Chiropractors’ Chiropractor

The BCA Chiropractors’ Chiropractor Excellence Award recognises a BCA member who has contributed to the profession in a significant way over the past 12 months. This award will provide the opportunity to nominate a peer within the BCA membership who has inspired you in the last year. Nominees may have worked to promote the Vision, Mission, and Aims of the British Chiropractic Association, or continue to make chiropractic integral to UK healthcare. Based on the Players’ Player award we see in sports, the Chiropractors’ Chiropractor Award recognises hard work and dedication to the profession.

The individual being nominated for an award must be a member of The British Chiropractic Association. Members cannot nominate themselves for this award.

New Chiropractor of the Year

The BCA New Chiropractor of the Year Excellence Award recognises a BCA chiropractor (who graduated fewer than 5 years ago) who has exemplified BCA values over the past 12 months. The award will be presented to a chiropractor who is engaging in professional development and contributing to the success of their practice. It rewards hard work, self-motivation, and a positive attitude towards patient-centred care.

The individual being nominated for an award must be a member of The British Chiropractic Association. Members cannot nominate themselves for this award.

Chiropractor of the Year

The Chiropractor of the Year Excellence Award recognises a BCA member who has championed the new Mission of the BCA, as the home for chiropractors who put patients first. The award will be given to a chiropractor who continues to demonstrate what it means to be a BCA Chiropractor and showcases the values of being patient-centred, having an exceptional standard of practice and being best in class. It rewards the professionalism we strive to deliver as an organisation, as well as putting  patients’ interests above any other considerations.

The BCA Board will nominate individuals that have aligned with the BCA’s values and vision in the last 12 months. This award will be exclusive to Board Nominations only and  will be presented at the awards evening on Saturday 18 November 2023.
